Connersville Street Department

The Connersville Street Department maintains the city’s 65 miles of streets & signage. The department employs nine full-time laborers and two mechanics and offers tote trash pickup, carry in recycling and free heavy trash pick-up by reservation.

  • Downed trees blocking roads, alleys, or sidewalks.

Fall Leaf Pickup - Raked Leaves

Leaf Machine pickup for raked leaves starts the last week of October and runs until the end of November. 

One machine starts in the north end of town, and one starts on the south end of town. They work until they meet and then start all over. This takes time, please be patient.

Please rake your leaves to the curb. Make sure there is NO DEBRIS in the leaf pile. Debris can cause the machine to break and delay pickup.

Yard Waste

Yard Waste Pickup runs on Wednesdays from Spring to the end of November, weather permitting.

Call 765-825-1421 and be added to the list.

Large Item Pickup

Large Item Pickup is available Spring through Fall; pick up one item per house on Thursdays only.

Large Item Pickup for 2026 starts April 16th.
